Executive Coaching

Why Leadership Coaching?

Coaches unlock the potential of leaders to enable them to maximize their performance within their organization. Working on their goals and challenges, the client and coach focus on strengths and areas of development. Together they create a trusted partnership to gain greater self-awareness, tap into new potential, broaden leadership skills and change behaviors. Through a personalized approach, executives are able to raise the awareness and consciousness of their leadership to enhance the performance of themselves and their teams or organization.

How does coaching work?

The focus of the coaching process is to identify behaviors that are strengths and those that detract from performance and help leaders to make sustainable changes that improve leadership outcomes. The process begins with an online behavioral assessment with the leader and their direct reports (up to 10). Through a 1-on-1 Strategy Session between coach and client, the coach conducts a readback session and they select the behaviors to be addressed for a development plan. Operating as a sounding board, the coach uses exploratory questions to support the client in discovering answers about themselves while maintaining focus on goals.

The coach-client agreement typically includes:

  • Engagement with development plan spanning 6-12 months
  • Bi-monthly coaching session, each approximately 60-minutes
  • Support in between sessions (email or phone) as needed
  • Additional tools and resources available if necessary
  • Follow-up after development plan completion
  • Supplemental coaching available

Who should consider a coach?

Executive coaching benefits leaders who are committed to their own development as well as the growth of their teams. Coaching supports and sustains leaders during transitions to new responsibilities, to more senior roles, or those who are seeking to expand their management skills. The skills that bring people to a new position are often different from the ones that have made them successful in the past. Executive coaching helps leaders build the capacity to move smoothly and intentionally into new expectations. Executive coaching also helps leaders who are looking for ways to enhance themselves and remain fulfilled and vibrant in their current positions.
